She received her MTA status in September of 2008 and her degree in Music Therapy from Acadia University in 2007. Shannon, a native Calgarian, has been with JB Music Therapy since the fall of 1999. She received her music therapy education from the Capilano College, Open University Music Therapy Degree Program and was accredited in the summer of 2001. Shannon currently works with a diverse clientele, of all ages, and is dedicated to developing creative program design for all.
Jennifer is the founder and senior music therapist of JB Music Therapy. Jennifer is Past-President of the Canadian Association for Music Therapy, a session instructor at the University of Calgary and has presented at many regional and national conferences. Her efforts have been recognized in such magazines as Chatelaine, Canadian Living, Kids in Motion as well as on CBC Radio.
Karina is a 20 year veteran in music therapy coming to JBMT from Buenos Aires Argentina. She has done extensive research and clinical work in the area of using music for cognitive stimulation in seniors with dementia. Her wealth of experience with diverse population groups makes her a huge asset to the JBMT team.

Nynne is a graduate of music therapy from Denmark. JBMT had the pleasure of being one of Nynne's practicum sites some years back. Her compassionate personality and drive to bring a great session to her clients every time was evident at the start. She has specialized in music improvisation and its potential to bring out the best in all persons regardless of age or ability.
Kelsi is a voice major who loves to play a variety of instruments and always has a new one on the go! Originally from Northern Alberta, she is happy to be back in Alberta and working with a fantastic team after completing her music therapy degree in Vancouver. Kelsi loves the personal connections she builds with people while working as a music therapist and is continually inspired by her clients.

Jane graduated from the music therapy program at Capilano College. She also has an education degree from the University of Calgary with majors in elementary education, music, and special education. Music and the arts have always been at the core of her educational philosophy and she enjoys exploring and utilizing them wherever possible. She now shares her time between her two loves, teaching and music therapy.
Lesley has been involved with various music groups since she was a young child. A graduate of both the Grant MacEwan Vocal Performance program and Capilano University Bachelor of Music Therapy program, she is now a professional working musician, music teacher and Music Therapist in the EDMONTON area. Lesley is so excited to be working with JBMT and looking forward to continuing her career in Music Therapy.
Jan is a seasoned music therapist and professional harpist. Although Jan's first loves are her concert and Celtic harps, she is equally impressive playing piano and organ. Jan loves creating music with seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities.
Andrea is a graduate of Acadia University's Music Therapy Certificate program. Andrea hails from Nova Scotia where she has been involved in music all of her life as a performer and more recently a composer a teacher and a recording artist since 1998. She believes that there is nothing more precious than sharing the gift of music, and embraces the opportunity to facilitate growth, learning and well being through music.
Melissa is a graduate of the Capilano College Music Therapy program. Whether she is using her voice, guitar or violin, Melissa brings a calming ambience to every therapy session. As a new mom Melissa is currently on mat leave but continues to facilitate a couple of JBMT's evening programs.
Laura is a music teacher with a mission - to teach music to persons regardless of ability. Laura is proficient on several instruments including guitar, piano and recorder. She is warm, friendly and attentive and looks forward to working with the JBMT team.
Diana holds a Masters Degree in Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as a Bachelor Degrees from USFQ Ecuador (Psychology and Vocal Performance). She completed her internship with Bloorview Kids Rehab in Toronto, Ontario, gaining experience with children with developmental disabilities. She aspires to provide our clients with opportunities to explore different channels of expression within the therapeutic experience to promote feelings of well- being.
